At Joglo, early childhood learning is not just about letters and numbers, but about accompanying children as they grow – getting to know themselves, realizing their potential, and learning compassion for others and the natural world. Every child is welcomed as they are, including children with special needs, who come with their own unique ways of learning, interacting, and sharing with the world. Together with their families, we build trust, learn from one another, and support each other.

This year, we walked the path together. There were days filled with joy, and there were moments that brought tears to our eyes, especially when beloved students graduate and have to leave Joglo to continue their education. The bittersweet emotions of sadness and loss are undeniable. Yet, all of these experiences are part of the beautiful mosaic of our journey. As we witness the children growing bolder in speaking up, forming friendships, helping their peers, connecting with nature, and understanding themselves, we realize that we are bearing witness to the miracle of growth.

Our prayers accompany every small step, which will one day become a big footprint in life. Each of these little sprouts will grow into individuals who spread peace through their attitudes and words. Through their unique ways of interacting and collaborating, they will create a ripple of peace that spreads throughout the world.
I thank all the beloved children who teach us so much and make us wiser.

I thank my family for their continued support and understanding at every step. Without our family’s support, we cannot do such a labor of love.

I thank you, too, for being part of the Joglo family, for reading and sharing our stories with your community and for sending us your encouragement and support. May you share these beautiful memories of how love and peace spread from one to another.

The support and affection of all our friends in Friends Peace Teams make the Joglo Early Childhood Learning Center possible. Thank you!!!
